Singer-songwriter WOODZ has once again proven his knack for creating irresistible musical moments. On February 28, the artist shared a vocal challenge video for his pre-released track CINEMA featuring none other than DAY6's Young K, and the results were nothing short of spectacular.

WOODZ, who wrote, composed, and produced CINEMA as part of his upcoming debut full-length album, has been collaborating with fellow artists for a series of vocal challenge videos to promote the digital single, which dropped on February 12. Previous participants included vocal heavyweights like JJ Lin, BTOB's Seo Eunkwang, Crush, Seo Muntak, and Jung Seunghwan.

Young K's entry into the challenge, however, struck a particularly powerful chord with fans. From the very first note, the DAY6 member unleashed his signature explosive vocal range and rich, captivating tone, instantly winning over not just existing fans but also WOODZ's dedicated listener base. The response was overwhelming. Within just 24 hours of being posted across WOODZ's official YouTube, X, and other social media platforms, the challenge video amassed over 500,000 combined views. The collaboration was far from a first-time encounter. WOODZ and Young K initially connected in July 2020 when Young K hosted MBC's Idol Radio and WOODZ appeared as a guest. That meeting blossomed into a creative partnership, culminating in the unreleased track Falling, which they shared on WOODZ's SoundCloud account .9ARAGE in September 2024. The pair performed Falling live for the first time on KBS 2TV's The Seasons in September 2025, and the overwhelming fan demand led to an official release on October 24, 2025.

WOODZ is gearing up for a landmark period in his career. His first full-length album Archive. 1, featuring an impressive 17 self-composed tracks, is set for release on March 4. He will also kick off his 2026 world tour with a solo concert at Incheon's Inspire Arena on March 14 and 15, with both dates already sold out. Adding to his expanding portfolio, WOODZ made his acting debut in the film Slide Strum Mute, which premiered in theaters on February 26.

Meanwhile, Young K and DAY6 are celebrating their 10th anniversary with a nationwide tour that has already seen successful shows in Daegu, with upcoming dates in Gwangju, Daejeon, and Busan.
