Biography

Jinsung (born Park Jin-seong, 1961) is one of Korea's most beloved trot singers, renowned for his distinctively husky and emotionally resonant baritone voice. He rose to prominence in the early 1990s with timeless hits including "Borabit Yeopseo" (Purple Postcard) and "Andong Station," becoming a defining voice of Korean trot music. After a triumphant battle with blood cancer (leukemia) and heart valve disease in 2016, he returned to active performing, continuing to captivate audiences with his heartfelt performances. Jinsung remains a celebrated figure in Korean entertainment, known not only for his musical talent but also for his resilience and warmth.
